Laurel lists here a number of actions taken by The Sierra Club GEAT and
allies in an effort to get a ban on clothianidin, which is killing bees and is
a probable cause of Colony Collapse Disorder (CCD). Remember, those of us
on GEAT are all volunteers. You're welcome to join us. Just contact Laurel
Hopwood ([log in to unmask] (mailto:[log in to unmask]) ).

Bees are still dying. Urge Congress to step up.
A legal petition was recently filed that calls on EPA to suspend
registration of clothianidin.
EPA knows enough to act and has the authority to suspend clothianidin -
yet the Agency has failed to do so.
Congress has the authority to exercise oversight over federal agencies
like the EPA.
Sign Center for Food Safety's petition urging Congress to step up!

Note from Laurel Hopwood, Chair, Sierra Club's Genetic Engineering Action
Team:
We delivered the outstanding documentary Nicotine Bees to every member of
Congress, accompanied by a letter written by a national beekeeping
organization. Not a peep.
We've urged the EPA to act. Not a peep.
We've submitted comments to regulatory agencies. Not a peep.
We've written press releases which were picked up by major media. Not a
peep.
We need to be persistent, to save a major pollinator!!
