Please join us for Iowa author, Austin Frerick, speaking about his new
book, *Barons:  Money, Power, and the Corruption of America’s Food
Industry.  The Des Moines Register *excerpted the entire first chapter
covering the hog barons of Iowa Select Farms. Frerick was also interviewed
on Iowa Public Radio.

In addition to the book talk, a silent auction will be held that evening to
benefit two groups: Drake Environmental Action League,
www.drake.edu/enss/studentresources/organizations a student group, for an
environmental project on campus; and Children and Family Urban Movement
(CFUM) www.cfum.org for nature activities for children.



We welcome your donations of gently used camping gear, art and nature books
or magazines. The auction will also include donations and gift cards from
