Things will be exciting at the capitol next week!

In addition to the environmental lobby day on Feb. 12, there will be a press
conference at 10:30 AM on Feb. 13 in Room 116 of the capitol.  The conference
will be an opportunity for the Rural Advocacy 2002 Coalition to present its
position papers to legislators, the public, and the media.  Contact me for

The Rural Advocacy 2002 Coalition is an ongoing gathering of religious,
environmental, farm, health, and citizen groups committed to dialogue, social
action, and political action regarding rural Iowa.  The coalition has crafted
position papers on industrial livestock operations, agriculture market
structure policy, energy policy, support of sustainably raised Iowa farm
products, rights of workers in ag industries, and rural health care policy.
