(Des Moines, IA.) - Iowa legislators and experts will discuss the upcoming state budget negotiations and the Iowa economy at the next IowaPolitics.com forum. 

The event is free and open to the public, but reservations are required REGISTER ONLINE or by e-mailing [log in to unmask] or calling (515) 309-2941.  The program starts at 3:45 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 26, at Drake University. 

Confirmed panelists include: 
. Senate Appropriations Committee Chair Sen. Bob Dvorsky, D-Coralville 
. Iowans for Tax Relief President Ed Failor Jr.
. ISEA Lobbyist Brad Hudson 
. House Appropriations Committee Ranking Member Rep. Scott Raecker, R-Urbandale 

Additional panelists may be added in the coming days.

IowaPolitics.com Des Moines Bureau Chief Lynn Campbell will moderate the program, and questions will be accepted from audience members. The event later will be broadcast on the Mediacom Connections channel statewide and will be available for On Demand viewing on Mediacom Channel 1. 

The forum is part of the "Cookies and Conversation" series and sponsored by IowaPolitics.com, Mediacom and Drake University. It will be held in Levitt Hall in Old Main at 2507 University Ave. on the Drake University campus. Doors open at 3:30 p.m. Free parking will be available in Drake lots at 26th & University and 25th & Carpenter.
