DNR Director INVITES PUBLIC TO LIST LEGISLATIVE PRIORITIES

WINDSOR HEIGHTS-Any person with an interest in the natural resources of Iowa
is invited to a stakeholder forum Aug. 3 in Windsor Heights.

DNR Director Richard Leopold will share DNR's natural resource concerns at
the forum. Then he will invite interested stakeholders to make
recommendations on legislation the DNR should consider in 2011.

The forum will be held from 1 to 4:30 p.m. at the DNR's air quality office,
7900 Hickman Road, Suite 1. After opening remarks, participants will break
into smaller groups to discuss conservation and recreation, and
environmental proposals separately. Shortly after 3 p.m., stakeholders will
report their recommendations to the entire group and discuss how to combine
the recommendations.
