Forest Certification Committee recruitment announcement:

The Sierra Club Forest Certification Committee (FCC) is looking for up to 
four new members. The committee works to advance the Club's participation in 
the issue of green certification of forest management and forest products.
This committee is involved in:
1. Recommending Club policy and positions regarding domestic and global 
forest certification issues
2. Monitoring developments in the forest certification field
3. Providing information and advice to Sierran activists and staff involved 
in certification
4. Managing the club's membership in the Forest Stewardship Council

The committee includes "at large" volunteers as well as representatives from 
other SC entities involved in related forest issues. This announcement is a 
call for applicants for the ?at large? volunteer positions. The Forest 
Certification Committee operates under the umbrella of the Wild Planet 
Strategy Team.

The committee has monthly conference calls. Members should be ready to make 
time between calls for committee work, including occasional additional side 
calls.
Current ?at large? volunteer committee members are: Peter Elias (chair, 
California), Aaron Viles (Louisiana), John Harbison (Vermont), Josh 
Dickinson (Florida), Kate Heaton (California), and Lindsay Cole (Canada)
