Neila,

Thanks for sending the e-mail Iowa Chapter newsletter. The articles were informative. The eminent domain article was especially interesting, as Wally Taylor pointed out several serious problems in getting just treatment for affected landowners.

I have some questions:

1. Who is the editor of the Chapter newsletter in its electronic form? At this point, we are sharing editorial duties. Pam and Wally edited articles in this issue because they were pipeline-related.

2. Will there be a letters to the editor section? We haven't thought about that question but it's certainly something to be considered.

3. Who is Candace Manroe? She wrote all four of the articles in the current issue. Is she from the Iowa Chapter? If so, from which group? Candace is a former Meredith editor and current Sierra Club member who lives in Des Moines,

4. The print form of the newsletter will be eventually phased out. What is the schedule for the phaseout? We don't have a schedule for phaseout. The ExCom has been talking about it for years and reduced the number of print editions from four to three. It's become very expensive to produce print newsletters so the ExCom is considering all options.

Thanks for answers to these questions.
