Des Moines Monthly Public Program -
Southern Utah Wilderness Alliance
Bob Brister will present on one of the most spectacular areas of wilderness
left in the country, as well as the challenges and dangers it faces. Our
public programs are 7:30-9:00 p.m. at Grace United Methodist Church, 37th &
Cottage Grove, just north of I-235 in Des Moines. Contact Jane for

SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 22:
Snow Goose Migration Day Trip to DeSoto Bend N.W.R.
Observe the migration of hundreds of thousands of snow geese and many bald
eagles at this refuge west of Missouri Valley. Hike the refuge, and tour
the exhibit of relics from a sunken 19th century steamboat, too. Meet at
11:30 a.m. at the Flying J Truck Stop, just west of the Hickman exit from
I-35/80. Carpooling is on your own if you wish. Dinner on the way home
afterward. Call Doug at 277-1263 by November 20 to reserve a space or for
more information.
