Tom sent a list of "bargains".  In Tuesday's Des Moines Register, there
were several additional items listed -- Here are a few.

McDonald's Coffee - $.99 for 16 oz -- $7.92 per gallon
Chanel No. 5 at $88 for a quarter of an ounce -- $45,056.00 a gallon
Revlon nail enamel - from $903.80 to $1216 a gallon
Johnson's baby shampoo - $24.65 to $31.48 a gallon.
Johnnie Walker Black Label scotch -- $141.24 a gallon

In today's DM Register, Columnist Donald Kaul wrote, "The fact is low gas
prices are more of an evil than a blessing.  They encourage the
exploitation and depletion of our natural resouces, the pollution of
wildlife habiat as well as recreational areas, not to mention the air we
breathe.  High gas prices, on the other hand, encourage conservation,
efficient use of resources and the development of new technology."
