A coalition of national environmental groups including Union of
Concerned Scientists, NRDC, Environmental Defense, the Ecology
Center, and the Michigan Environmental Council will be holding a
press conference and Insight/Prius gathering prior to the Detroit
International Auto Show on January 7.  We would like to invite any
Insight or Prius owners who are interested to attend.

The event will take place January 7,  between 10 AM and 1 PM at the
Pontchartrain Hotel Directly across from Cobo Hall in downtown
Detroit.  We will be securing parking spots in the front row of an
adjacent surface parking lot for all of our hybrid-electric vehicle
guests to park.  The press conference will be in a conference room
inside the hotel that we have reserved.  The basic event should be
about 3 hours.

We will be providing a breakfast and lunch for everyone.  For those
of you driving from out of town we are offering  hotel accomodations
Saturday evening to make the trip easier.  In order to facilitate
this we need to get commitments from you as soon as possible.
