National and also the Iowa Chapter Sierra Club support local control for the
siting of animal feeding operations.  With elections coming up in a few
weeks, it is critical to vote for candidates who support local control if we
really want to see change in rural Iowa.

 

Candidates Supporting Local Control:

--Chet Culver for Governor (D)

--Denise O’Brien for Secretary of Ag (D)

--Mel Berryhill for Senate Dist #3 (D)

--Darryl Beal for Senate in the Greene Co. area (D)

--those are the ones in my area, if your candidate supports local control,
