Sierra Club Seeks Coordinator for Water Guardian Program

The Sierra Club seeks a Field Representative to plan, organize, and
coordinate the activities of staff and volunteers in carrying out its new
Water Guardian program. The Water Guardian program will involve Sierra Club
volunteers in testing water quality in their own communities, and will
generate information that is useful for educating the public and
appropriate federal and state government regulatory agencies.

The Field Representative has the lead responsibility for developing an
overall strategy for the Water Guardian program and overseeing water
quality monitoring and clean water enforcement project sites in chapters
throughout the country. Responsibilities include recruiting, training,
mentoring and motivating volunteer water monitors, managing budgets and
representing the Sierra Club to government officials, the media and other
organizations. Hands-on water quality monitoring experience is essential.
Travel is required.
