Help A Habitat For Earth Day 2000

Register Your Site for an Earth Day Event! One million Iowans helping a
habitat for Earth Day 2000 is the goal of the Iowa Earth Day Education
Coalition.  Many people want to help the environment, but are unsure of how
to go about it.  This is where you come in.  We would like to include your
Earth Day project in Iowa's Earth Day 2000 Celebration.  We are looking for
action projects where individuals not only learn about nature, but can feel
good about the contribution they've made to improve it.  Give Iowans the
opportunity to get out and enjoy the natural world, as well as learn more
about what your organization does.  If you have a project, set for April or
May, already in the works, and would like to be included in this
celebration, please let us know about it.  If you're still making your
spring plans, let us know when it is finalized.  Then we can post your
event on our Earth Day website.  Here are a few ideas: * Park/Roadside
clean-ups * Nest box building or monitoring * River/Stream clean-ups *
Planting trees * Removing invasive plant species * Restoring prairies with
native species
