I believe the Iowa Chapter still needs an under 30
delegate and several of the groups do not have
delegates.

SIERRA SUMMIT SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION

The Club has received a $10,000 scholarship donation
that will allow registered Summit delegates to help
offset some of the costs, especially travel. We are
therefore able to offer 40 scholarships in the amount
of $250 to qualified delegates FOR AIR FARE ONLY. The
Scholarship Committee will give FIRST PRIORITY

to Under 30's delegates.

Scholarship funds will be used for air fare by the
recipient when making reservations through Beyond the
Bay Travel. The cost of airfare over the $250 limit
must be paid for by the recipient. Scholarship funds
will be paid directly to Beyond the Bay, not to
Chapters, Groups, or individual delegates. Only if
the recipient has already bought and paid for their
airline ticket and a national reimbursement request
has been submitted will payment be

made to an individual.

Scholarships will be awarded on a need basis.
Criteria that will be considered include; whether
funds have already been allocated by
Chapters/Groups/National entities, economic
costs/needs of the delegate while attending the summit
and

travel logistics.

Applications should be returned NO LATER THAN JULY 29,
2005 via email to the Scholarship Committee's staff
support member Emily McFarland at

[log in to unmask] . The scholarship
committee will notify recipients no later than August
5, 2005.

REQUIREMENTS FOR APPLICANTS

Applications should be made by individual delegates;
however Chapters, Groups or National entities may make
application on behalf of a delegate. All applicants
MUST be registered delegates to the Summit.

Thank You

Scholarship Committee Members:

Richard Miller - San Diego Chapter

Mary Grisco ? Chair, Council of Club Leaders, Alaska
Chapter

Lane Boldman - Cumberland Chapter
