My apologies for inadvertently posting a personal message to the entire
Sierra Club listserve.   Of course I know (and know of) many Republicans who
support environmental protection.   My message reflected frustration that the
views of those Republicans are not reflected more often by Republican Party
leadership.

If the question ever arises, I'd like to put in a vote for changing the
mechanics of the Sierra Club listserve so that it is necessary to make a
deliberate decision to reply to the entire listserve, instead of replies
going to the entire listserve automatically.  The Iowa Native Plant listserve
works that way, and that setup makes it easier for some of us to avoid
embarrassing mistakes.  Sorry again, and thanks --
