A local Iowa City group has asked for a local Sierra Club representative
to attend a Hickory Hill Park Trails meeting with the city of Iowa City.
The public meeting will be held at 7 p.m., next Tuesday, Dec. 19 at the
Robert A. Lee Recreation Center (corner of College and Gilbert) to help
promote a plan that provides greater trail access (including disability
access) but also protects the unique nature of the park.
If you are interested in attending and representing the club (not a formal
position as it is has been discussed at an ExCom) and perhaps asking
questions or expressing general views on behalf of the club, please let me
know. I might be able to represent the club but I am supposed to
represented another group and don't want to attempt to wear two hats.
