Thanks Lyle,
Not everyone liked it and the on-line comments are 100% negative. But
the e-mail coming to me directly are very positive. Here's a sample of
the on-line nameless blogs:
With more mining and drilling proposed in Alaska's Arctic wilderness we
are in danger of losing more wildlife, pristine wilderness and a healthy
environment for humans." This is nonsense on stilts. With new lateral
drilling techniques and other advances in the petroleum and mining
industries, we use less land and disturb less wildlife than ever before.
The proposed drilling site in ANWR is the size of a metropolitan airport.
It's proposed to be situated on a vast mosquito infested bog; not the
beautiful mountainous part of ANWR.
Not a fact to be seen in this piece - just emotion and Eco-babble.
Poor mama grizzly bear! She's so cute. Now, let's throw our economy even
further down the crapper! That'll be fun!!!
I’m disappointed Phyllis didn’t express disdain when the bald eagle, our
national icon, didn’t follow catch-and-release protocol.
Phyllis your article almost brought me to tears...but I always tear up
when reading emotional pablum.

Oh, by the way, Phyllis..you didn't state that you were an award winning
member of the Sierra Club of Iowa. Agenda, anyone?

I wonder if a "Phyllis" was aroung during the time the Glacier National
Park area was being formed?
