Environmental Advocates will sponsor a candidates forum
at 7 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 25 at the Robert A. Lee Recreation Center,
meeting room B, 220 S. Gilbert St. in Iowa City.


The public event, moderated by Tom Carsner, is scheduled to feature
candidates Connie Champion, Leah Cohen, Ernie Lehman, Mike O'Donnell,
John Robertson, and Brandon Ross. A portion of the forum will focus on
environmental issues affecting the city. The event will be taped and
rebroadcast on PATV.

EA was formed in 1987 to make people more aware of local environmental
issues and to promote creative solutions to environmental problems. The
organization hosts public educational events, works on water quality and
other issues, and administers a grants program. For more information,
