I generally describe those against wind energy as Big Blowhards. I agree that the word needs to be spread--one of the problems is that a lot of the opponents have both closed minds and also closed channels of communication, be it among their mental fellow travelers or their crush on Rush and faith in Fox.

We should try to get the Sierra Club wind article reprinted in our respective newspapers!
Just yesterday I ran into an extremely hostile group of complete ignorance in regard to wind and renewable energy sources and costs.
It would be SO good for a larger segment of the population to read about these wind facts and all the benefits and success derived from it.
After all, people who get the Sierra magazine already are in the loop and believe in renewables (at least for the most part?!)
We should extend every possibility to inform. We should also spread "the word" via local talk radio.
