Spend a (hopefully) beautiful spring morning spreading the word about clean
water!!
On Saturday, April 17th the Sierra Club's clean water campaign will be
visiting Des Moines residents and asking them to support policies that hold
polluters, not taxpayers, responsible for cleaning up Iowa's waters.
We'll gather at Tower Park, located at 50th and Hickman, at 9:30am and talk
to neighbors in adjacent neighborhoods from 10:15 until 12:30. Then we'll
meet back at the park for a lunch celebration.
Don't think you'd like going door to door? Don't worry! We aren't asking for
money, and we'll have a short training on how to canvass comfortably before
heading out.
We're all busy, but spending a couple hours educating people about clean
water and celebrating earth week with like-minded folk will be time well
spent on April 17th, so please join us!
RSVP to me if you plan to attend:
