Well, as someone who lives in rural Iowa and makes much of my income from farming, I disagree with virtually every sentence in that Branstad rag.  Peak oil, climate change, rural decline, etc, etc, Branstad doesn't live in the same world as me.  And his "solutions" are, of course, primary reasons why we are where we are.

Guess I'm going to have to work for Culver after all -- although I will hold my nose and know I am choosing mediocrity over pure lies.
