More Background on this Event:
Rep. Boswell has signed on to the Safe Climate Act (HR1590). This bill is
a great first step, but the future of strong global warming policy will
depend on key principles--most notably, that revenue from a cap and trade
program will go to the cleanest, safest, fastest technology available to
reduce emissions (not to dirty false hopes like coal and carbon storage)
and that this revenue will help to swiftly transition us to a clean
energy workforce.

Leaders in Congress, Reps. Waxman, Markey and Inslee have authored a
letter to Speaker Pelosi detailing these principles. Greenpeace is asking
that Rep. Boswell take the next step and join these climate heroes by
signing on to this letter committing to a clear road map to climate
solutions for the economy and our environment.

Please join us!

Thank you!
