The White House Needs to Hear from You!

Thanks to everyone who helped generate the more than
1 million comments to the US Forest Service seeking
protection for Alaska's Tongass and Chugach forests under
the new roadless initiative. Now it is time to let the
White House know how important this issue is to you.

Please take a few minutes and:

1) Send a personalized fax from http://www.akrain.org to the White
House letting the
Administration know the final policy must prohibit logging
in roadless areas and protect Alaska's Tongass National Forest.

2) Call the White House toll free: 1-800-663-9566, dial "0" to
leave a message asking President Clinton to FULLY INCLUDE the
Tongass and Chugach(chew-gatch) in his policy for roadless areas.
