From what I understand, leadership will not allow a vote on VOICE, so no one wants to introduce VOICE. Perhaps I am incorrect and someone has introduced VOICE, but I know for sure that Murphy, McCarthy and Gronstal don't like the legislation.

Don't expect anything to change their minds. Local control has been part of the Iowa Democratic Party's platform for years, and we can all see how much that does to help it advance at the statehouse.

So does this mean that there will be some action on VOICE, Voter Owned Iowa Clean Elections. Our Winneshiek County Central Committee endorsed it two years ago.

I'd like to get connected and communicating with our local activists on the issue, so please forward this request as you see fit.
