Best energy is wind power
Wind power could provide 15 percent of needed electrical power for our
high-consuming citizenry.
Gas is another alternative, but there is a pending shortage. Nuclear power
is catching on, but no one knows how to dispose of its radioactive waste.
Communities are considering biomass production of needed power, but that
also requires the building of new plants. Wind farms can be operational
within a year's time.
What future catastrophes do we need to convince us action is imminently
needed for quick results in power production to keep us warm, cool and on
the move?
Down with nuclear-power plants, up with wind-powered facilities.
Marie Malloy,
Des Moines.
