FEEDING OUR COMMUNITY: LOCAL FOOD PRODUCTION,
CONSUMPTION, AND COMMUNITY BUILDING.

Wednesday, April 6, 2005,  9:00 AM until 4:30 PM,  Old
Central Ballroom, 
Maucker Union,  University of Northern Iowa, Cedar
Falls, Iowa.

Keynoters

9 AM   Andy Fisher, founder and Executive Director of
the Community Food 
Security Coalition, a national alliance of 325
organizations working to 
create a just and sustainable food system.

12:15 PM  Dana Jackson,  Associate Director of the
Land Stewardship 
Project, a Minnesota based membership organization
dedicated to 
connecting local communities to sustainable food
production. 

In addition, there will be panels on "Access to Food",
 "Producers and 
Consumers" and "Community Gardening." 

Registration is $20, and includes lunch.  Registration
at the door is 
permitted.  UNI is an Iowa Board of Social Work
Examiners approved 
provider (0243) This program is approved for 6 hours
of continuing 
social work education.  A $10 processing fee applies.
