A great cartoon.

Yes, superweeds are real. They have evolved resistance to glyphosate, the active ingredient in Monsanto's Roundup herbicide. And they are becoming a big problem for farmers.

So now some companies are developing genetically-engineered crops that can withstand applications of more toxic herbcides,. like 2,4-D. It's an insane war against nature, and it threatens human health.--Tom

PS: As you may know, Roundup-Ready crops were introduced in 1996. They are genetically engineered to resist glyphosate (Roundup).
