LEAGUE OF CONSERVATION VOTERS
CAMPAIGNS DIRECTOR

The League of Conservation Voters (LCV) seeks to recruit a Campaigns
Director for its Washington, D.C. based organization.

Organizational Overview
The League of Conservation Voters is a 501(c)(4) organization dedicated to
protecting the environment through political action. Established in 1975,
LCV is the only national environmental organization devoted full-time to
holding members of Congress accountable for their environmental votes and
working to elect a pro-environment Congress and President.

LCV firmly believes that an educated electorate is a powerful electorate.
The organization works diligently to hold Congress accountable on
environmental issues. When Congress wages aggressive assaults against our
air, water and land, LCV is the public's watchdog, exposing those who are
working against the environment. When Congress fails to take action against
toxic pollution and environmental degradation, LCV exposes that silence. LCV
separates the rhetoric from the reality, and reports the facts to the
voters.

LCV maintains an annual operating budget of approximately $8 million. A
28-member Board of Directors governs LCV and meets three times a year.
Currently, the organization has a staff of 31 professionals and is the
political voice for over nine million members of environmental and
conservation groups.
