Hello all,

Hope you'll take 5 minutes tomorrow and call the White House urging President Obama to implement the Fair Farm Rules. More info below, including a sentence for you to say to the White House... Thanks much!

Donna

Make a call for good and fair food!
President Obama has the authority to implement fair livestock marketing rules that will force big meat companies to play fair. He needs to hear from people all across the country that good food is fair food.
Can you take a moment to call the White House today? The calls are easy to make and will help make sure fair farming rules are put into place. Here’s how you make a call:
1) Call the White House at (202) 456-1111 between 9am- 5pm EST.
2) Tell them your name and where you’re from, and then simply ask that President Obama to finalize and implement the fair livestock marketing rules that the USDA is considering from the last Farm Bill.

Or, use this script: "Hi, my name is ___________ and I live in (City, State). As a constituent, I urge President Obama to finalize and implement the fair livestock marketing rules that USDA proposed from the last Farm Bill."

3) After you’ve made your call, encourage friends and family to make calls too!

Please take a minute tomorrow to call the White House at 202-456-1111 to ask President Obama to implement these much needed rules. If that line busy, you can call 866-581-3558 and leave a voicemail.

These rules, which address some very anti-competitive and monopolistic practices by the meatpacking industry, are something Obama campaigned on specifically. It is time for him to follow through on this campaign promise and implement these much needed rules.
