Hi Amy:

I try to avoid running on cement whenever possible, too. The Sycamore
mountain bike trail is dirt and great for running when dry (now it's muddy, of
course). It begins at the Target parking lot at Euclid and the DM River, and goes
north 8 miles.

Also, near me, I use the Urbandale Avenue grass median a lot (but it's wet
too right now). It consists of 3.5 miles from 34th Street to Merle Hay Road.

Those are the two best places nearby that I know of for dirt or grass
running. During wet conditions I use the paved City bike trails. The Interurban
Trail can be accessed at 34th & Urbandale Ave and goes east. Joe Galloway
