Suggestions for Nominating Committee for 2009 Board Election Sought Four two-year appointments are open on the Nominating Committee, which willbe proposing candidates for the 2009 Board Election.  The appointments aremade by the President and confirmed by the Executive Committee.  The openpositions need to be filled by March 2008. NomCom members must be: (1) Committed to increasing ethnic diversity and youth. (2) Willing to handle a significant work load (particularly during themonths from June – Nov.) and be able to follow-through on their commitments–- much of the work is delegated amongst committee members; (3) Able to work with a high level of confidentiality and engender trustwithin the committee –- due to the sensitive nature of evaluatingcandidates this quality is of utmost importance; (4) Willing to travel for three face-to-face meetings (one in the spring,two in the fall), and to participate in a number of conference calls; (5) Knowledgeable about the workings of the Club and well-connected toactivists at all levels of the Club; and None can be a Board candidate.  Continuing NomCom members are Jeri Andrews,Katherine Pendleton, and Donald Parks.
