To All:

Below are the new bills introduced this past week which I have included in
my database of tracking for Sierra Club, Iowa Chapter. You should be able to
click on the weblink and it will take you to the bill text if you want to
see that.

Obviously not much has happened on most of them.

The Session continues to be very slow, although now that quite a few bills
have been introduced committee action will pick up speed, and floor action
will beging to occur in subsequent days.

NOTE: I you still have last weekıs list, keep it, keep this one, and then
keep subsequent list (until further instruction) and you will accumulate the
bills we are following. After the funnel narrows them down, we can delete
these lists, and track the smaller list.

HSB 66    This bill creates a new program in the department of natural
resources called the premier destination park program. The purpose of the
program is to provide funding for the planning and design, and construction
of new vertical infrastructure for a premier destination park only if
attendant investment is made in the park by private industry.

HSB 68    This bill provides that unspent revenues that are deposited in the
state conservation fund of the department of natural resources are exempt
from reversion to the general fund of the state and remain available for

HSB 69    This bill provides that the director of the department of natural
resources may collect permit fees from private water supply well contractors
pursuant to Code section 455B.187, and that fees collected pursuant to Code

the private water supply system account established within the water quality
protection fund already created in the state treasury.

roads and the transfer of funds associated with those roads, phases in an

a study committee to evaluate the distribution of the street construction
fund of the cities.
