E fish or meat may be a tough sell for already wary consumers
edited)
Don't expect to find genetically GE salmon or meat on store shelves
nytime soon. The Obama administration has stalled for more than four
ears on deciding whether to GE salmon. During that time, opponents
f the technology have urged several major retailers not to sell it.
o far, two of the nation's biggest grocers, Safeway and Kroger, have
ledged to keep the salmon off their shelves if it is approved.
Canadian researchers have said they won't pursue the "enviropig" in
he United States after investors raised concerns about the length of
he FDA review process.
Goes to show the power of activism! Thanks to all who sign on to my
ction alerts!
