Here's an update on the bottle bill event being organized by student
activists.  Note that it will now be held only on Sat., Feb. 23 on the
capitol steps (instead of both Sat. and Sun. in downtown Des Moines).

STUDENT CAN DRIVE FOR THE BOTTLE BILL 2/23
Zach Fitzgerald, a Valley High School student, is organizing a rally and can
drive to support the bottle bill.  The rally will be held Saturday, February
23rd at 10:30 a.m. and will be on the West steps of the State Capitol in Des
Moines.  He is asking anyone that attends the rally to bring cans and
bottles to donate. Dollars raised will be donated to the Beautiful Land
Coalition to use to protect and expand the Bottle Bill.  Questions? Contact
