I'm sure you've seen the announcements of the donation from Bloomberg Philanthropies (NYC Mayor Michael Bloomberg) to Sierra Club. $50M over a couple years, with $10M being c4 lobby funds and the rest for administrative advocacy, etc, for the Coal to Clean Energy Campaign. The Club is hiring 100 new staff to work primarily on closing existing coal plants around the country. Things are gearing up.
How many coal plants does Iowa have? The universities, the one in Mike Gronstal's district, the monster one in Southern IA... ???
It's time to shut them down. Thanks for the helping hand, Mayor Bloomberg.
Donna
