Please pardon this one-time message to listserv members who reside or own
land in Story County.
The Story County Land Development Regulations are now being revised
significantly. (This is a different document than the Ames Land Use Policy Plan and
the Fringe Area Plan.) The new Regulations will be a large influence in
determining where and how development and subdivisions take place in all the
unincorporated areas of Story County in the future.
The public comment period will soon begin. Issues include low-impact
development options, required open space set-asides, natural area protection, and
mitigation when natural areas are damaged by development.
If you are interested in learning more, please email me off-list. Thank you.

encamped, and the barking of the little prairie wolves resembled those of our Common
Small Dogs." (William Clark)
