I have reviewed the energy tax credit bill as it passed the Iowa Senate. It
appears to be just about tax credits. The language regarding net metering has
been deleted. I question whether RECs should receive the credit since they are
in the business of selling energy. Do Alliant and MidAmerican get tax credits
for renewable energy?

We have to destroy the myth that RECs are "cooperatives" owned by their
members and exist solely for the benefit of their members. The actual fact is that
they are run like any business corporation.
