Guest Column: Will Iowa Confront Climate Change, Transform Economy?

The Iowa Climate Change Advisory Council launched a new report in Des Moines earlier this month without much fanfare. It's a dense report with 56 options for Iowa to reduce its greenhouse-gas emissions, protect the environment and reinvigorate its economy.
But it really comes down to only one issue. Are we going to respond to climate change and take advantage of the obvious opportunities to transform our economy using energy efficiency and renewable-energy resources, or are we going to be left behind as other states develop and adopt the technologies of the future?
