The Central Iowa Sierra Group is holding three events to make fundraising
calls to help support the Chapter office.  Iowa Sierra Club has had a busy
six months since hiring Erin Jordahl and we expect to have an even more
exciting year ahead.

We will call local Sierra Club members, using a prepared script, asking them
to support the Iowa Chapter and thanking them for their financial support in
the past.

The calls will be made from an office located at 100 Court Avenue, #121 in
Des Moines.  We'll share pizza -- it should be fun!  Join us for this new
adventure.

NOTE: It might be helpful to have a copy of the most recent newsletter
nearby while you make calls, to answer questions about Group and Chapter
scheduled events.  The Spring 2002 Iowa Sierran also includes a discussion
by Greg Nepstad about how much money the Chapter gets from each national
membership.  This article can be used to highlight how important this
fundraising appeal is, because the money goes to the Chapter or the
Chapter's Foundation account.
