THIS IS AN APPEAL FOR HELP! In our Sierra Club, Iowa Environmental Voter
Education Campaign.

Date: Tomorrow, Saturday, 9/21
Duration: 2 hours
Meet: Franklin Avenue Library Parking
Event: Beaverdale Fall Fest Parade
Description: The Beaverdale Fall Fest Parade is tomorrow at 10:00.
Thousands of people will line the parade route. A great opportunity to
distribute the Red/White/Blue piece (that was distributed during the State
Fair at our Booth.)
Volunteers Needed: 10 Any age, come, help out, bring friends & children
(they can help too!), then watch the parade! Great Fun!
10 Volunteers, walking the parade route, just a few minutes ahead of the
actual parade, could distribute literally thousands of the pieces in a quick
time, probably an hour or so. Then, pause, and at least a few of those, walk
back the route immediately after the parade to pick up any pieces that were
dropped by participants who did not hold onto them. We would not want to be
accused of creating litter!
APPEAL: So, PLEASE, who would volunteer to do just that? Done by Noon or so!

This is a fairly large community event; the parade is so successful they
closed taking entries last Saturday! All the politicians in the area and
Iowa will be there!
