Annual Dinner Set for October 31 

Friends, supporters and members of the Iowa Chapter Sierra Club are invited to our Annual Dinner and Fund Raiser, October 31, 2009, in Davenport at the Best Western SteepleGate Inn at I-80 and highway 61. www.bestwestern.com/steeplegateinn <http://www.bestwestern.com/steeplegateinn> 

Registration and cash bar open at 5:00 p.m. and dinner will be at 6:15. Davenport's Mayor pro-tem, Barney Barnhill, will be the keynote speaker and will talk about what Davenport is doing as a Cool City and the city's future plans.

Awards will be given to individuals who have done outstanding work to protect Iowa's environment. A silent auction will be going on throughout the evening and will include items from Patagonia, New Pioneer Food Coop, Honest Tea. Also books from Iowa authors, local art work and other items. You will enjoy a delicious two-entree dinner and conversation with like minded friends. 

The cost is $30 per person and reservations must be received by October 21. To reserve your place at the table send a check, made out to Iowa Chapter Sierra Club for $30 for each person attending to: Jerry Neff PO Box 239, Pleasant Valley, IA, 52767-0239. Indicate if you prefer a vegetarian meal.
