Just watched the show and could say a lot, but I'll keep this short.

1) The Lake Delhi Story will be shown again on Wed 8/7/13 on the IPTV
"World" Channel at 6 pm.

2) I found the name "Injun Joe" acceptable in the book TOM SAWYER because
it was an understandable example of Mark Twain's time and culture. But
hearing people refer to a local landmark as "Injun Joe" in 2013 makes me a
little uncomfortable.

3) If I ever taught journalism on the high school or college level, I'd
try to use this show as part of the section on "spin."

From responses so far, it seems I am right and the Lake Delhi residents
are getting their version of their story on IPTV. Very interesting. I hope
I won't see "WE WILL BE BACK: THE DECOSTER EGG FARM STORY" listed on the
IPTV schedule some day in the future.

You are not wrong. I have wondered how the Lake Delhi residents got so

For those interested in Lake Delhi issues, there will be a new documentary
shown on IPTV on Monday 8/5 at 8 pm called "WE WILL BE BACK: THE LAKE
DELHI STORY."

Having read the description of the documentary and having watched a
trailer for it online, I have the impression that this documentary will not
include issues and questions such as the relative values of a natural river
versus an artificial lake, the massive farmland erosion in the Lake Delhi
watershed, the hundreds of substandard old polluting septic systems in the
community around the lake, the question of using state funding to rebuild a
private dam, and the special new state law that will put Iowa taxpayers on the
hook for massive amounts of money if the new Lake Delhi dam ever fails.

I hope I'm wrong.
