I received a postcard invitation -- addressed to the Iowa Chapter -- from Putnam Museum & IMAX Theatre in Davenport about the opening of "A Celebration of Birds" exhibit July 20 from 5-8 p.m.  A presentation of the 8th Annual Environmental Stewardship Award begins at 6:30 p.m.  An RSVP is not required.   There will be hors d'oeuvres, a cash bar, a silent auction and live birds.

If you're interested in attending the opening, the Putnam Museum is located at 1717 W. 12th Street in Davenport.  The event is sponsored by Riverboat Development Authority.
