August 1 - for Sierra Club Annual Meeting
The Political Lay of the Land Webinar on August 1 at 1:00 to 3:30pm

We hope to see you at the annual meeting via webinar on August 1 at 1pm. Sign
up and we will send you access information
<https://www.sierraclub.org/iowa/2020-annual-meeting>.

The theme of the meeting is how we can make the Iowa Legislature more
receptive to environmental issues. We realize that the environment cannot
be protected unless we have legislators willing to do so. We have lined up
some speakers who will help us look into this.

1:00 – Keynote address, “The Political Lay of the Land” by John Nichols.
The key-note address will be delivered by John Nichols, political writer
for The Nation magazine. He has written extensively about state political
races. He will be talking about the political lay of the land.

1:30 – “Connecting With Voters” by John Norris. John Norris will be
speaking about reaching out to people about environmental issues and how we
can connect with them.

2:00 – Panel discussion with John Nichols and John Norris, led by Carolyn
Raffensperger, plus questions and answers
