Impaired Waters listing needs your comments

The Draft 2002 Impaired Waters List is now available on the DNR's website at <
http://www.state.ia.us/dnr/organiza/epd/wtresrce/files/imp2002.htm>.

The public comment period runs until October 11.

There are significant changes in Iowa's 2002 list compared to the last
listing in 1998-mostly due to more restrictive data requirements imposed by
the legislature in 2000.  The more public input that can occur at this stage,
the more complete Iowa's list will be.
