CLIMATE CHANGE PRESENTATION BY CONNIE MUTEL

First Unitarian Church, 1800 Bell Avenue, Des Moines

Connie Mutel is a senior science writer at the University of Iowa's College
of Engineering who has written some deservedly renowned books about Iowa's
natural history-past, present, and future. On April 13, she will be
speaking in Des Moines about her latest book, A Sugar Creek Chronicle:
Observing Climate Change from a Midwestern Woodland. The book combines a
delightful personal account of the seasonal changes in her beloved wooded
acreage in eastern Iowa with a thoroughly accessible scientific account of
the threat posed by climate change. It may be one of the most persuasive
arguments for taking action ever presented to the general public. This event
is sponsored by Central Iowa Sierra Group. For information contact Jane at
