Waxman-Markey climate bill passes House

The American Clean Energy and Security Act passed the House with 219 votes in favor (211 Ds, 8 Rs). Braley, Loebsack and Boswell voted yes, Latham and King voted no.

Of the 44 Ds who voted no, I read that only 3 voted no because the bill was too weak (which it is): Kucinich, DeFazio, Stark. The other 41 Ds voted no because the bill was supposedly too strong, which is a sick joke.

The Senate will almost certainly make this bill worse, because it needs 60 votes to pass (budget reconciliation is not an option).
