If what Mr. Cramer of Fareway Stores says were true, that public support for 
not having cans in stores is loud and clear, than there wouldn't be any cans 
returned to the stores, or maybe anywhere else, for that matter. However, it is 
quite clear that the public wants to keep the 5 cent refund available where 
they buy their beverages. It is convenience that makes the whole thing work. 
When redemption centers don't make money, they close and that is what we are
