Sierrans:

S.F. 2247 is the bill to which Mary Lundby added the non-game plate funding
last week in the Senate 49-0. It is in the House Transportation Committee,
chaired by Rep. Arnold.

This is the bill now to focus on for this issue...the other, original,
subject of the bill was the plates for special combat infantry motor vehicle
registration plates and a special combat field medical motor vehicle
registration plates. The earlier bill is most likelly dead, so focus on this
one. They really want the veterans part of this one, and we are 'riding that
wave.'

Attached is a one-page talking points summary on the wildlife diversity
funding part of the bill.

Yesterday the Chair brought it up and tried to bring it out of committee,
when all of a sudden Dems started asking about the non-game part. So...can
we turn on some calls to them over the weekend at home?

Really we need to turn on calls to all of them...but especially Polly Bukta.
Keep the calls positive and helpful to them. We just had not had time to
work the committee since it came over on the 11th.

Get as many Sierrans and others who support this to do their calls this
weekend to legislators at home. You can get their phone numbers and other
information about committee members on the General Assembly website. Or,
below I have their names, party and phone number.

The committee is:
