This appeal is to Metro Des Moines Sierrans:
As you know, I am assigned, by Sierra Club, to help with the Boswell For
Congress Campaign this last 2.5 weeks of the campaign.
I need competent volunteers for 2-4 hours, or whatever you can commit, each
morning from 10 am, starting tomorrow, Saturday 10/26. The task is
organizational, no telephoning or outdoor stuff. It will be a fun, slighty
complex, task, rewarding in its contribution to the total campaign effort.
It would be good to have you in teams of 2 or more at a time, so if you want
to coordinate with a friend to come in, that is great. Indeed, bring
non-Sierra friends, too.
This is a specific, important, indeed, urgent task, because the Election is
only 11 days away now. It is doable, fun, and valuable. Men and women are
both welcome on this important task.
It is at the Boswell Campaign Headquarters at 300 East Maple (Take E. 6th St
exit off freeway, to Des Moines St, which is second right turn, to East 4th
and turn right, North, to dead end. Enter where awning says "Victory 2002"
and tell the receptionist that you are with the Sierra Club, to meet with
Lyle Krewson in the Boswell Campaign.)
Please help! Because I am not at this computer much now, most hours I am at
the Campaign, please let me know by telephone (see below) if you can help. I
am happy to answer any questions. I really need you!
By the way, we will need this type of volunteer assignment any day from now
to November 5, so just call me any particular day you have some time to
help, at any time of day. There are myriad tasks available, mostly indoors.
